Khawaja Asif kept 'Iqama' despite being foreign minister: Murad Saeed

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed said that Khawaja Asif had kept 'Iqama' despite being foreign and defence minister.

In a video statement on Wednesday, he said that Khawaja Asif had laundered money and devoured money from public welfare projects. "The Iqama-holder No. 303 is being questioned why he used to receive Rs 1.5-2 million from a foreign country," he said.

He said that after the arrest, his 26 companies and properties in several cities had been surfaced. "From which sources he made these properties," he added.

Murad Saeed said that when they are asked from where you got the money, they do not reply. "Why do their frontmen used to send them money? They will have to give answers to these questions," he added.
