Khawaja Asif levelled false allegations, retorts Murad Saeed

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed, reacting to the statement of Khawaja Asif, said that the former defence minister had levelled false allegations against them. Expressing his views in the National Assembly on Tuesday, he said that Khawaja Asif was doing a job abroad on ‘Iqama’ despite being the defence minister of the country. He said that Khawaja Asif had invited Indian PM Narendra Modi to the marriage of his granddaughter. “His leader had no time to meet the Hurriyat leaders during his visit to India. Who had invited Jandal to Murree? Who had stated that they had personal relations with Jandal?” he said. Murad Saeed said that the wish of accepting Israel cannot be fulfilled during the tenure of Prime Minister Imran Khan. “Islam was attached to terrorism. Imran Khan fought the case of the Muslim Ummah,” he said. During his speech, the PML-N raised a hue and cry. Khawaja Asif threatened to stop the proceedings of the House. PML-N leader Sheikh Raheel Asghar and Murad Saeed also exchanged hot words with each other. The opposition also demanded explanation of the statements of ministers about India and Israel. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that they want a Palestinian state according to the map of 1967. Later, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri had to stop the proceedings for 10 minutes.
