Khawaja Haris, team withdraw from NAB references against Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's counsel Khawaja Haris and his team detached themselves from the NAB references against the Sharif family. In his application to withdraw the representation, Kh Haris stated that the SC had not accepted his stance. “I cannot work under such pressure,” he said. Following the announcement, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir inquired Nawaz if he would hire a new lawyer or convince Haris to represent him. The former PM asked for a few days for consultations over his legal representation in the matter. Nawaz then requested the court to adjourn the hearing. The hearing of Al-Azizia reference was adjourned till tomorrow. The Avenfield reference hearing will also be held on June 12.
