Khurshid excuses himself from appearing before NAB

SUKKUR (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stalwart Khurshid Shah excused himself from appearing before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in assets beyond known income on Wednesday. According to the reports, the PPP leader was summoned by the corruption watchdog body today. The NAB summoned him to interrogate after the opening of an inquiry against him over disclosure of assets worth more than Rs500billion registered under his alleged frontmen. Khursheed Shah wrote a letter to NAB Sukkur and stating that he is unable to appear before the investigation officers due to the session of the National Assembly (NA). He asked NAB officials to provide another date for his appearance after the conclusion of the NA session. On August 30, the NAB has started investigations against PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah. The NAB has sent a letter to the Dadu deputy commissioner, ordering him to send details of the property owned by Syed Khurshid Shah and his family within five days. The NAB has sought the details of the property Khursheed Shah, his two wives, son, daughters and nephews. Moreover, the NAB has also sought the details of the property of Sindh Minister for Transport Awais Qadir and Junair Qadir. Earlier on August 7, the NAB had unearthed assets worth more than Rs.500billion belonging to the PPP senior leader Khursheed Shah.  The accountability watchdog has acquired important documents, which shows assets of more than 500billion rupees of the PPP leader registered under his alleged frontmen.
