Khurshid Shah demands withdrawal of gas infrastructure development cess

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Tuesday demanded the government to withdraw gas infrastructure development cess of Rs 101 billion.

Addressing the National Assembly session, Khurshid Shah said that gas infrastructure development is a burden on poor public, adding that the prices of gas has increased.

He said that the sales tax ration on petroleum products is highest in Pakistan, adding that despite decrease in oil prices in international market, the circular debt of Pakistan has increased.
