ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah has termed the budget speech disappointing. Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, he said that the first 162 pages of the budget contained applause of the government. He said that what benefit common man will get through a cut in the purchase of planes and parts. Khurshid Shah said that the budget has been presented on the conditions of the IMF. “As the opposition leader, I reject the budget.” Talking to the media after the budget meeting, he said that the masses got nothing, but disappointment in the budget. He said that Rs 242 billion was allocated for subsidy last year, which has been reduced to Rs 137 billion this year. He said that the entire budget contained an increase in taxes. Khurshid Shah said the government got the credit of a cut in the inflation rate, but in reality the inflation rate was reduced to a reduction in petroleum products in the international market.
