Kim Soo Hyun denies allegations amid Kim Sae Ron's tragic death
SEOUL (Web Desk) South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun is facing intense scrutiny following recent allegations linking him to the tragic death of actress Kim Sae Ron.
The claims, largely fueled by the far-right YouTube channel HoverLab, suggest a romantic relationship between the two that allegedly began in 2015 when Sae Ron was just 15 years old and continued until 2021.
HoverLab’s reports also claimed that Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, initially supported Sae Ron after a drunk-driving incident in 2022, paying 700 million KRW (approximately $483,000) for her damages.
However, the agency reportedly later demanded repayment, which led to financial distress for Sae Ron.
In March 2024, Kim Sae Ron reportedly contacted Kim Soo Hyun to request more time to repay a debt but received no response.
Desperate, she posted a photo with him on social media, which was soon deleted. Kim Soo Hyun's agency denied the claims, calling them "false and baseless," and threatened legal action for spreading misinformation.
Sae Ron, facing financial struggles and a tarnished image after her DUI, tragically passed away in February 2025, with her family blaming Kim Soo Hyun's actions and financial pressure for her distress.
Kim Soo Hyun's agency denies the allegations, pledging to protect his reputation, while fans and media continue to seek answers as new details emerge.
