LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab government has decided to keep the kite-flying ban intact on Basant this year.

The decision was made during a meeting between Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday.

Sources said that a report was prepared with regard to preparations of Basant in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Sahiwal. Some people wanted to celebrate Basant in the second week of February.

However, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar rejected all proposals and recommendations. He ordered strict action against those preparing kites and string.
