ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Following the clash between police and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and tear gas shelling, party chairman Imran Khan has on Tuesday asked his party leaders to turn back to Swabi and return with fresh approach. In his message on social media website, Khan asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak to retreat and return with fresh force. The PTI chairman saluted Pervaiz Khattak and PTI KP for their courage, resilience & sheer guts before resuming mission to get to Bani Gala by afternoon. “They confronted police's brutality and use of lethal tear gas,” he added. Police used heavy tear gas shelling and rubber bullets early in the morning to disperse PTI workers. PTI workers were prepared for police actions but at Bhurhan inter exchange, police fired rubber bullets and tear gas which led Imran to ask party workers to retreat towards Sawabi. The situation on the GT Roads is likely to heat up following the tense situation after tear gas shelling and clashes between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers and police as the PTI activists are expected to enter the federal capital through GT road. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister vowed to move towards Islamabad with his convoy. The Punjab police have resorted to shelling to disperse the PTI workers yesterday. The protesters pelted the police with stones. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak remained besieged in the car. On the other hand, PTI workers have started removing containers. Two helicopters landed at the Motorway near Haroonabad, Attock.
