Senate passes 31st Constitutional Amendment Bill

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – After the National Assembly passed the historic 31st Amendment Bill, the Senate on Friday passed the bill with a significant majority. According to the details, 71 Upper House members voted in favour while five Senators from the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) opposed it. The bill needed a total of 69 votes to pass. After approval from the Senate, President Mamnoon Hussain will sign it turning into a law. After getting approval from both houses of the Parliament, now the bill will be presented before the K-P assembly. The Tribal people celebrated the event at Parachinar after approval of the landmark bill clearing the way for the merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. They organized rally on approval of the bill and the youngsters danced on drum plate, congratulate each other.
