KP IG’s appointment challenged in IHC

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The appointment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police (IGP) Salahuddin Khan Mehsud has been challenged in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Additional IG Akhtar Ali challenged the IG’s appointment.

The petitioner was of the view that a grade 20 officer cannot be appointed as the IG of the province.

Salahuddin Mehsud was appointed as the KP IGP on Thursday last week.

The position of KP IGP became vacant after the retirement of Nasir Durrani on March 16.
