KPK govt announces one-week lockdown in Mardan

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a one-week lockdown in the city.

Expressing his view in 92 News Programme ' Subh Savaray Pakistan', Kamran Bangash said that the patients had exceeded the capacity. "The province is facing shortage of beds and other facilities," he said.

In Mardan, the positivity rate of cases is 31 percent.

Liaquat Shahwani, the Balochistan government spokesperson, has also admitted having lack of preparation to deal with any emergency.

Musarrat Jamshed, the Punjab government spokesperson, said that hospitals have no capacity to accommodate patients. "The healthcare system can collapse if the pressure of patients increases," she added.
