Lady health workers continue sit-in for fifth day in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Lady health workers continued their sit-in for the fifth day at D Chowk, Islamabad on Sunday.

According to the reports, the sit-in of the female workers at D-Chowk in Islamabad has entered fifth day against low salaries, pay structure and scale.

The protesting lady health workers have warned of marching towards the National Assembly (NA) after failed negotiations with the concerned authorities.

The local administration has completed all the preparations to bar the protesters from entering the parliament premises by deploying heavy contingents of security personnel.

Earlier, Federal Ministers Pervez Khattak and Ali Muhammad Khan, the government representatives, said that the provinces will resolve the provincial problems. They assured the protesters that their demands would be accepted after discussing the matter with the provinces.

After long consultation, the protestors refused to end their sit-in without acceptance of their demands.
