Lady health workers end sit-in after successful negotiations with govt

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Lady Health Workers (LHW) ended their six-day long sit-in at the D-Chowk in Islamabad after successful negotiations with the government.

The federal government has announced to form a committee for resolvind the demands of lady health workers. Government negotiations team headed by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan.

Ali Muhammad Khan said that the representatives from all provinces will be included in the committee.

The government team held a three-hour long round of talks with the protesting health workers during which the government complied with all their demands.

Ali Mohammad Khan also assured that the government will comply with all the demands of Lady Health Workers. A written order in this regard has also been given to Lady Health Workers president Rukhsana Bibi.

Announcing the end of the sit-in, Lady Health Workers president said, We are very happy that our hard work has paid off. Rukhsana Bibi thanked the administration and the Prime Minister and hoped that the government would fulfill its promise."
