Lahore CCPO orders to register case against CIA SP after verbal clash

LAHORE (92 News) – Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Umar Sheikh ordered to register a case against Crimes Investigation Agency (CIA) SP Asim Iftikhar after verbal clash.

According to police sources, the CCPO exchanged heated words with Asim Iftikhar as he arrived late and ordered to register a case against him. The furious CIA SP left the meeting over the directive to stop his work.

CCPO Umar Sheikh had summoned Asim Iftikhar at the safe city office for not taking him into confidence in the matter pertaining to the arrest of Abid Malhi – prime suspect of the motorway rape case.

Umar Sheikh summoned Civil Lines Police Station SP and wrote a complaint to file case against Asim Iftikhar; however, no action has been taken as yet over the complaint after involvement of other officers.
