Lahore court releases DJ Butt on bail

LAHORE (92 News) – A local court in Lahore on Thursday released sound system provider Muhammad Asif aka DJ Butt on a bail in a case pertaining interference in official work.

The court approved his bail subject to submission of surety bonds worth Rs50,000.

It is pertinent to mention here that that DJ Butt was arrested on the charges of possessing illegal weapon and interfering in the government affairs. 

DJ Butt said he is laborer and has nothing to do with the politics. He will fix his sound system if ordered for December 13.

On the other hand, DJ Butt's partner DJ Malik Sound System also arrested in violating Punjab Sound Systems (Regulations) Act case.

Earlier, police produced him before a judicial magistrate who sent him to jail on judicial remand. DJ Butt was taken into custody the previous day, just few days ahead of the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) December 13 rally at Minar-e-Pakistan.

The Model Town police raided the office of DJ Butt and registered a case on charges of possessing an illegal weapon and obstructing a public servant from performing his duty by mishandling the raiding team.
