Lahore DC Saleha Saeed removed for failure to control dengue

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has removed Lahore Deputy Commissioner Saleha Saeed for her failure to control dengue in city. A notification in this regard was issued on Saturday. Moreover, Muhammad Asghar has been given the additional charge of the Lahore deputy commissioner. Earlier, Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Ali Randhawa was transferred for not controlling dengue. Following an outbreak of dengue in the provincial capital, Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Saleha Saeed had removed 81 officials for negligence during the prevention campaign. She had removed 81 officials and sought a reply from 57 – including entomologists, environment inspectors, CDC supervisors – and issued show cause notices to 13 others. She also reprimanded official from the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for failing to properly load the data of the health authorities onto the dashboard.
