Lahore High Court accepts Ayyan Ali's bail plea for hearing; issues notices

LAHORE (92 News) - Lahore High Court’s (LHC)  on Friday accepted the Ayyan Ali's bail plea for hearing in the money-laundering case. As per reports, Ayyan’s lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa stated during the preliminary hearing that the money-laundering case registered against his client is utterly baseless, as she is being politically victimised. "The investigation of the case has not been completed yet, whereas the money-laundering provisions are unfounded," he stated. LHC Justice Abdul Sami accepted the plea for hearing and summoned reply from custom authorities on June 26. Ayyan Ali was arrested from Benazir International Airport while she was carrying 550,000 US dollars in her luggade.
