LAHORE (92 News) – Lahore Qalandars scored a five-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League 5 at Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday. Being invited to bat, Peshawar Zalmi amassed 187 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Haider Ali made 69 runs off 43 balls with the help of four 4s and as many 6s. Shoaib Malik contributed 62 runs with the help of seven fours and two 6s. Brathwaite (16) and Kamran Akmal (12) were other contributors. Shaheen Shah Afridi grabbed three wickets, while SR Patel took two wickets. Dilbar Hussain and D Wiese got one wicket each. In reply, Lahore Qalandars achieved the target for the loss of wickets in 19.5 overs. Fakhar Zaman smashed 63 off 46 balls with four 4s and three 6s. CA Lynn made 59 runs off 32 balls with six 4s and three sixes. Sohail Akhtar contributed 21 runs. D Wiese (17) and SR Patel (11) were other contributors. CR Brathwaite took three scalps, while Wahab Riaz got one wicket.
