LAHORE (92 News) – On the orders of the Punjab government, Lahore’s 81 hotspot areas were sealed for 15 days on Tuesday night. Earlier addressing a press conference, Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid said that Lahore city is becoming a hub of coronavirus. She said that the areas to be closed include Shahdra, Walled City, Mozzang, Harbanspura, Gulberg, Cantt, Shadbagh, Nishtar Town and Iqbal Town. “We are imposing restrictions in the areas where innumerable cases of coronavirus have been reported,” she said. The minister said that China had completely controlled coronavirus, but a new wave of the epidemic seemed to be surging there. “People compare us with New Zealand which has a half of the population of Lahore. It was easy to control to the pandemic there,” she added. She said that it is very difficult to control coronavirus in a populous country like Pakistan. “If we compare Pakistan with India, Pakistan is better.” Yasmin Rashid said that this is a disease. “It is an epidemic and we should try to control the epidemic,” she added. She said that they had provided 15 ventilators each in Mayo and Jinnah Hospital.
