Large part of Karachi hits major power outage

KARACHI (92 News) – The large part of the metropolis deprived from the electricity on Monday night as a major power outage hit Karachi. As per details, the citizens felt disturbance all the night due to the unavailability of the electricity. Neighbourhoods affected by the power breakdown included Sadar, DHA, Korangi and Old City area. Gulshan, Haded Garden and Nazimabad among other areas were no power for four to five hours. Some areas of the city have not been availed electricity till now. Not only the residents but also airports, hospitals and Sindh High Court also observed power break. The K-Electric spokesperson said that the company has received the complaints and the fault was come due to the moisture. "Our teams are working to resolve the fault(s) causing the power outage," the spokesperson said, adding that electricity supply would be resumed soon. Meanwhile, the citizens raised questions that how the system of K-Electric company, who earns more than billions of rupees, faulted due to the moisture.
