Assemblies will be dissolved definitely, declares Imran Khan
LAHORE (92 News) – PTI chairman Imran Khan has categorically declared that the assemblies will be dissolved definitely.
Expressing his views during a meeting with journalists on Friday, he said that those say the assemblies will not be dissolved should wait for his tomorrow's speech. "The PML-Q will be with us whatever decision we will make," he added.
Imran Khan said that Gen (retd) Bajwa played a joke not only with him, but with the country by giving the NRO II. "Gen (retd) Bajwa used to make the decision about the corruption cases. The NAB people used to tell me that the cases are mature, but they have no permission from the top," he maintained.
He was of the view Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has more powers than the prime minister. "However, Chaudhary Parvez Elahi want to run the assemblies for some time," he declared.
The PTI chairman said that the law allowing extension to the tenure of the army chief should be abolished.
Earlier addressing the lawyers' convention, Imran Khan said that that the country cannot make progress without rule of law. He said that he was struggling for the rule of law. "I also struggled for the rule of law during my government and did not give the NRO to anyone," he added.
The PTI chairman said that the laws were changed to end the corruption cases and the regime was changed. "The rule of jungle is in vogue in Pakistan. A large number of Pakistanis left the country during the last eight months," he added.
He urged the lawyers to perform their duty to implement the rule of law. "The government is ending the corruption cases of all one by one. It is not seen even the banana republic," he added.
Imran Khan said that there is an uncertain situation in the country. "We are ready to resign from the National Assembly officially. The people supported Imran Khan in the by-elections," he added.
