Laws to transfer money abroad will be tightened: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has on Sunday said that whoever have written off their loans through political influence will have to return their loans. Ishaq Dar said that the loans waived off in the past can be returned and a court decision is also present in this regard. “The people who got their loans waived off will also be held accountable in the judicial commission’s Terms of Reference (ToRs). He said that setting up offshore companies is not illegal but the laws of transferring money abroad would be tightened. Finance Minister said the Government has brought budget deficit from 8.8 percent to 4.3 percent. “All economic indicators are positive as a result of prudent policies being pursued by the Government,” he said.
