Lawyers and court are parts of same institution, says CJP Justice Gulzar Ahmed

LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed has said that lawyers and court are parts of the same institution.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore on Tuesday, he said that decisions are discussed and they would be announced on merit.

He said that the institutions should resolve the problems of the lawyers after deliberating on them. "I will do what I can do regarding the Lawyers Protection Act," he added.

The chief justice said that he always fix more cases for hearing. "I want improvement in the bar-bench relations. All members of the Supreme Court Bar Association should be allotted plots," he observed.

He said that lawyers should appear in court with full preparations. "I am aware of the problems being faced by lawyers. Lawyers are facing financial worries due to the Covid-19 pandemic," he added.
