LAHORE (92 News) – Constable Faiza Nawaz, who was allegedly tortured by a lawyer in Ferozewala Courts, alleged that lawyers are hurling her threats at her. Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, she dispelled the reports about her resignation and said that a character assassination campaign is going on against her on the social media. “I am still with the police department,” she said. She said that she was not doing politics, but the police were being pressurized over the handcuff matter. PTI MPA Uzma Kardar said that the government is standing by the female constable. “The courts should take notice of threats being hurled to the constable. Faiza is a daughter of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar,” she said. She said that the government wants to empower all women in the country. “Faiza Nawaz was slapped during the duty. We want to give a message to women that they have equal respect in all departments,” she said. The PTI MPA said that they had written a letter to Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa to seek justice for Faiza Nawaz. “No one will get justice if Faiza fails to get it,” she said.
