Lawyers observe countrywide strike on PBC’s call

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Lawyers observed a countrywide strike on the demand of the Pakistan Bar Council on Wednesday.

They boycotted courts and hoisted black flags on the bar offices. The lawyers also wore black armbands.

The LHC, however, heard emergency cases.

The lawyers’ leaders said that the objective of the strike to make it understand that the prime minister had lost legal and moral justification to keep the designation and hence he should resign immediately.

They warned that they would extend their protest if the PM did not resign.

The lawyers will again observe a strike on Thursday and take out rallies.
