Lawyers protest for establishment of LHC regional benches

LAHORE (92 News) – Lawyers staged a demonstration to press for the establishment of Lahore High Court regional benches in Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Sargodha. The protesters crossed all barriers and reached outside court of LHC Chief Justice Anwaarul Haq. They also burnt tyres on Regal Chowk and chanted slogans for their demands. They were carrying placards inscribed with slogans for their demands. The protesters threatened to lock courts if their demands were not met. Earlier, they also observed a strike. A heavy contingent of police and anti-riot force was deployed on the occasion. The police implemented an alternate plan for the smooth flow of traffic.
