Lawyers' torture case: Court orders FIR against Rana Sanaullah, police officers

LAHORE (92 News) - Additional Sessions Judge Malik Muddasir Umar Bodla on Wednesday ordered a case against Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for torturing lawyers in the Azadi March.

The court also ordered the case against the Lahore CCPO, DIG Operations and the SHO. The judgement has been announced in an application filed by Haider Majeed advocate.

The petitioner contended that peaceful protesters were tortured and injured in the march. He said that about 300-400 lawyers were baton-charged and shelled near Data Darbar.
