LDA selling LDA City plots that don't exist; no masterplan exists

LAHORE (92 News) - Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has been selling plots to the public of a housing society LDA City for the past months without any formal approval of the society, even before the masterplan of the society has come into being. As per details, the LDA has only acquired 9,000 canals for the society, whereas it has sold files of plot totalling more than 25, 000 canals. The government authority has till now taken billions of rupees from the masses in connection with the scheme that initially started at 9, 000 canals and then was extended to 62, 000 canals. The scheme has no masterplan, no design or the approval. LDA Director General Ahad Cheema has failed to uphold the rules and regulations he himself formulated.
