MELBOURNE (Web Desk) Charles Leclerc set the fastest time in the second practice session for the Australian Grand Prix, edging McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
Leclerc’s best lap of 1:16.439 was 0.124 seconds quicker than Piastri, with Norris just 0.017 seconds behind his teammate.
Yuki Tsunoda impressed in fourth for Racing Bulls, while Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top five for Ferrari, 0.420 seconds off Leclerc's pace. Max Verstappen, the defending champion, struggled with handling issues and finished seventh, 0.624 seconds behind Leclerc.
The session saw rookie Isack Hadjar deliver a solid performance, placing sixth, while Nico Hulkenberg and Lance Stroll completed the top 10.
Hamilton’s teammate, Carlos Sainz, was 11th, with the session running smoothly after the earlier disruption caused by a crash involving Haas' Oliver Bearman in FP1.
With Ferrari showing strong form, the stage is set for a competitive qualifying session on Saturday.
