BERLIN (92 News) – The funeral prayers for legend comedian Umar Sharif was offered in Germany on Tuesday.

Allama Ashraf Qadri led the funeral prayers attended by a large number of overseas Pakistan. Later, the body was handed over to his relatives.

All arrangements have been finalized to repatriate the body to Pakistan. The Nuremberg Metropolitan has issued the official death certificate.

Meanwhile, Umar Sharif's son and other family members visited the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi and inspected the arrangements for the burial of Umar Sharif.

On Saturday, comedy king Umar Sharif passed away in a hospital in Germany. Umar Sharif suffering from multiple diseases, including heart and kidney, was shifted to America by air ambulance from Karachi. He was later shifted to a hospital in Germany after his condition deteriorated.

Born in Karachi in 1955, Umar Sharif started his stage career in 1974. He performed in hundreds of stage dramas and films during his five-decade career. He released his dramas through audio tape in 1980.
