ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has on Sunday demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan to increase the time of polling to two hours during the local government elections in Islamabad.

In his letter to Chief Election Commissioner, the PTI leader Asad Umer said that the federal capital is a city of government employees and a holiday was also not announced on the polling day. “All voters will have to use six ballot papers and it would take more time,” he said.

He expressed fear that due to the shortage of time, a large number of government employees would not be able to cast their votes, so the polling time should be increased.
