LAHORE (92 News) -Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday declared the petition seeking action against Prime Minister(PM) Nawaz Sharif under Article 6 pertaining to the Youth Loan Scheme case admissible .
A two-member LHC bench comprising Justice Ameenuddin and Justice Sohail Iqbal Bhatti heard the case. The petitioner’s lawyer pleaded to the court that the notification issued by PM Nawaz for the appointment Maryam Nawaz as chairperson of the scheme was unconstitutional. Therefore, the court take action against the PM under Article 6.
The court admitted the case for hearing issuing notices to the federal government, Immigration director general (DG) , Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Inspector General (IG) Punjab. The court summoned a response from both parties by May 20.
