LHC allows Punjab Advocate General Ahmed Awais to continue work

LAHORE (92 News) - The Lahore High Court (LHC) allowed Punjab Advocate General Ahmed Awais to continue work on Friday.

Hearing a plea seeking stopping Ahmed Awais from work, the court sought a reply from all parties, including the chief secretary. It also directed the government to ensure in writing that it will not stop Ahmed Awais from work.

Chief Justice Ameer Bhatti remarked that they have not seen such conflicts in the past which have started now.

Additional AG Jawad Yaqoob contended that though Ahmed Awais is the AG Punjab, but he was not keeping the government interest in mind.
