LHC to announce verdict on Punjab govt’s appeal against Model Town report today

LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court will today (Tuesday) announce verdict on Punjab government’s appeal against the LHC's decision regarding making the Model Town inquiry report public. A three-member larger bench of the LHC headed by Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh had reserved the decision on the appeal on November 24. Earlier in September, the Lahore High Court had ordered to public the Model Town incident report prepared by Justice Baqir Naqvi. According to details Justice Mazahir Ali Naqvi gave the verdict and ordered Punjab Home Secretary to public the report . Earlier, the court reserved the decision. The Punjab government had filed an intra-court appeal in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against the decision of a single-bench to make public the judicial inquiry report of the Model Town incident.
