LHC dismisses disqualification reference against CM Shahbaz Sharif
LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court dismissed a disqualification reference against Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday.
Justice Shahid Karim termed the application un-maintainable, asking the applicant to
PTI chairman Imran Khan had filed the application, challenging the eligibility of Shahbaz Sharif to become the chief minister.
Babar Awan contended that Shahbaz Sharif had been running his business along with the public office.
He said that Shahbaz Sharif gave Rs six billion to his brother as gift, which had no money trail. Babar said that the CM also used his influence for the ownership his sugar mills. “The assets of the Sharif family are not in accordance with their income,” he added.
Earlier, the court had reserved the judgment.
