LHC dismisses plea against appointment of Punjab Caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi

LAHORE (92 News) - Justice Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court on Monday rejected the plea against the appointment of Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Justice Shahid Karim remarked that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has full authority to appoint the caretaker chief minister. "The ECP had made the decision under the law and the constitution," he added.

Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed had filed the petition against the appointment of Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
