LHC extends interim bail of Kh Saad, Salman Rafique until Dec 5

LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court has extended the interim bail of Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique until December 5. A two-member bench headed by Justice Muhammad Tariq Abbasi heard the plea. The court also directed the NAB chairman to decide on the application. The court questioned why arrest warrants were issued when both had surrendered to court. The NAB prosecutor told court that the Khawaja brothers have not appeared before the bureau despite summons. Khawaja Saad Rafique’s counsel questioned the status of summon through a phone call. He asked the NAB prosecutor to present the record in court. He feared the NAB could arrest his client by exceeding its powers. The investigation officer said that he had forgotten the record at his office.
