LHC grants protective bail to Imran Khan in nine cases

LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday granted bail to PTI chairman Imran Khan in all the nine cases.

The two-member bench comprising of Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and Justice Farooq Haider heard the plea. 

The PTI chairman told court that attacks had been carried out on him in the court where he has to appear. The judge asked Imran Khan to come under the system and rest things will be watched later on. "There will be difficulties for us if you are in the system," the court told Imran Khan.

The court granted him protective bail in four cases till March 27 and five cases registered under the ATA till March 24. The court also sought a detailed report on all the cases registered against Imran Khan across Punjab till Tuesday. The court also stopped the police from taking any action against Imran Khan till Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the court also approved the protective bail for Imran Khan in the Zil Shah murder case till March 27.

Earlier, PTI chairman Imran Khan reached the LHC from Zaman Park in a rally. Workers took Imran Khan into a protective siege. They chanted slogans in favour of Imran Khan. A large number of workers entered on the premises of the LHC despite a ban on their entry.

The contingents of police and anti-riot force were also present in the court premises. The authorities allowed the entry of Imran Khan in court through another passage instead of the main gate.
