LHC moved against issuance of e-challan through Safe City cameras

LAHORE (92 News) - A petition has been filed against issuance of e-challan through Safe City cameras in the city.

The petitioner through his counsels Mazhar Amin and Mian Awais Saleem filed the pettion, challneging the issuance of e-challan through the cameras. Additional Advoate General Malik Akhtar Javed also appeared in court.

Exprssing his concern over the issue, Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh questioned that the additional advoate general that under which law, how e-challans can be issued without legislation. The law officer sought time to give the explanation in writing.

The court also sumoned the Secreatry Law, Safe City Authority CEO and Secretary Transport on March 21.
