LHC moved against Punjab govt’s decision to celebrate Basant

LAHORE (92 News) – A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court against the decision of the Punjab government to celebrate Basant. Safdar Shaheen Pirzada advocate, the petitioner, contended that the court had banned Basant as it became a bloody game. He said that it is against the constitution to allow an entertainment causing loss of precious human lives. The petitioner stated that the government is allowing Basant to divert attention from public issues. He prayed to court to nullify the government decision to celebration Basant.
