LHC orders to present Model Town tragedy report

LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC), while hearing Punjab government’s intra-court appeal against the verdict of the single bench, has ordered to present the Model Town tragedy report on the next date of hearing.
The three-member bench heard the appeal.
Giving the arguments, Khawaja Haris, counsel for the Punjab government, said that the Model Town inquiry report had become a piece of unnecessary paper. “The objective for which the inquiry was held has been achieved.”
Khawaja Haris was presenting the arguments when the hearing was postponed for a week as the court time was over.
Talking to the media, Azhar Siddique advocate said that the court would in-camera review the government report in the chamber.
