LAHORE (92 News) - The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered to hold the election for the Punjab chief minister on April 16.

The court also ordered to restore the powers of Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari, directing him to hold the election on April 16.

The court rejected the Hamza Shehbaz's plea for holding the election early. Justice Ameer Bhatti had reserved the verdict after listening to the arguments of both parties.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) had announced to challenge the restoration of the powers of the deputy speaker.
