LHC orders to restore flying operation from Walton Airport

LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday ordered to restore the flying operation from Walton Airport.

Hearing petitions filed by the flying club and others against the issuance of ordinance for demolishing the airport, Justice Ali Baqar Najafi ordered to restore the flying operation at least in eight weeks.

The petitioners contended that no alternate place had been provided to the Civil Aviation Flying School before demolishing Walton Airport. 

The Law Officer told court that at least 8-22 weeks are required to transfer the infrastructure.

The federal government, Punjab government and the Civil Aviaition Authority (CAA) have been made the party in the case.
