ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered to return PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz’s passport on Monday.

A three -member bench headed by the LHC chief justice resumed the hearing on the petition filed by Maryam Nawaz for her passport return. Justice Ali Baqir Najafi and Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh were also included in the bench.

During the hearing, the NAB counsel said that there is no need to investigate Maryam Nawaz further. "Amendments were made in the NAB law one after another due to which this case is being looked at."

Maryam Nawaz's counsel Amjad Parvez said that it has been four years and still the Chaudhary Sugar Mills reference has not come. "According to the law, the challan has to be submitted within 14 days. Due to a long delay, the courts should close the case. The Article 10 gives every citizen the right to a free trial," he contended.

The Lahore High Court granted the request by ordering the return of Maryam Nawaz's passport.
