LHC rejects bail plea of supermodel Ayyan Ali

LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday rejected the bail plea of supermodel Ayyan Ali. Sardar Latif Khosa, in the petition, stated that the allegations against Ayyan Ali were baseless. “She was neither passed through the passport checking process nor her boarding card was taken,” he said. He prayed the court that Ayyan Ali be granted bail. Earlier on Monday, the Rawalpindi Customs Court extended the remand of Ayyan Ali in the money smuggling case till July 6. She was brought to court in an armoured vehicle due to security reasons. Ayyan Ali was wearing a black hood despite severe heat. Her co-counsel Shaista Wahab told court that senior counsels are busy in the LHC for her bail. She prayed to the court to extend her remand for 14 days. The court said that a long date cannot be given in the most important case. It said that she would be indicted on the next date of hearing.
