LHC rejects plea to stop PDM meeting due to coronavirus

LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday rejected the plea to stop the meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) due to coronavirus.

The court observed that the petitioner is not an affected person. It ruled that political parties and workers should follow the SOPs. It also directed the government to get the SOPs implemented.

The court stated that it could not interfere in the government policy. 

"All institutions should ensure implementation of the directions of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). The government will decide with regard to permission to the meeting in two days," it ruled.
