LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has on Tuesday stayed the privatization of the Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court issued the stay orders on the petition of former finance minister Dr Mubashir Hassan.

The petitioner revealed that the government was selling Allama Iqbal International Airport’s hundreds of billions of rupees property in low prices due to which the national exchequer would suffer billions of rupees loss.

The petitioner had challenged the privatization of the airport.

LHC Chief Justice Mansoor Ali Shah ordered the Civil Aviation Authority and the federal government to present detailed replies regarding the issue within in four weeks.
