LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has taken notice of long queues and people's insult in the name of subsidized sugar.

The court also expressed indignation at unavailability of sugar at the retail level.

The court observed that the government had made the people beggars in the name of the less rate of Rs15 per kg.

"The government cannot absolve itself from responsibility by throwing the ball into another's court," it observed.

It ordered the Punjab government to end queues at utility stores and Ramazan bazaars immediately and submit the report on Wednesday.
