LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has on Friday imposed lifetime ban on entry of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah in the LHCBA. The ban has been imposed following the law minister’s statement regarding Ahmadis. The Lahore High Court (LHC) has also cancelled his membership. Rana Sanaullah had said that “Ahmadis (also) act upon ‘Namaz’ (prayer) and ‘Roza’ (fast); they go to mosques and recite Azan”. “Opposition with Ahmadis is over the Khatm-e-Nubuwwat issue,” he said, and added that “according to Ulema, the Ahmadis cannot say their prayers, recite Azan and construct their mosques. But there are several complexities. The matter should be discussed at certain level.” The minister’s statement stirred controversy in the country leading to the countrywide protest against him demanding the government to remove him from his post. Demonstrations are being staged against the statement of Rana Sanaullah in favor of the Qadianis across the country. The protesters took out rallies and chanted slogans against Rana Sanaullah. They also demanded the arrest of the provincial and federal ministers.
